Dr. Shengchao Shi joins the editorial team of Biodiversity Data Journal

Dr. Shengchao Shi is a lecturer in the College of Life Sciences, Jianghan University, Wuhan, China. He just joined the editorial team of Biodiversity Data Journal as a subject editor for Amphibia and Reptilia.

Dr. Shi received his doctoral degree in the joint-supervision PhD program of the Chengdu Institute of Biology, Chinese Academy of Sciences and Sichuan University. Currently, he is working on the systematics and conservation of certain groups of Chinese Amphibia and Reptilia, with emphasis on Megophryidae, Elapidae, and Viperidae.

“I feel honored to join the editorial team and serve as a subject editor for Amphibia and Reptilia. And I hope by documenting biodiversity data of herpetological fauna, we could finally find a balance between humans and them,” he says.
