Maria-Viktoria Kyoseva wins Best Presentation in Biodiversity at Kliments’ Days 2025

11 December 2025

The International Conference on Natural Sciences & Biotechnology – KLIMENT’S DAYS 2025, hosted by the Faculty of Biology at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski," took place on November 6–7, 2025, in Sofia, Bulgaria. The conference gathered researchers from around the world to discuss advances in fields such as molecular biology, environmental science, applied biotechnology, plant biotechnology, cell biology, microbiology, genetics, ecology, and conservation science. А significant component was the Satellite Conference, “Reintroduction of Conservation-Reliant Species,” which is related to Biodiversity Data Journal’s topical collection “Restoration of species of conservation importance.”

Plenary participants and poster authors got a chance to disseminate their work through ARPHA Conference Abstracts. The innovative, open-access platform developed by Pensoft offers extended abstract publishing, where each conference abstract, complete with multimedia (such as video recordings of talks or images of poster presentations) is indexed, registered at Crossref, and assigned its own DOI.

Highlighting research excellence, Pensoft sponsored the Best Presentation in Biodiversity award. The recognition was granted to Maria-Viktoria Kyoseva for her poster “Assessment of changes in the macroinvertebrate communities of the Panova river (Oborishte region) under the impact of heavy metal pollution.” She received a free publication opportunity in Biodiversity Data Journal.

We congratulate Maria-Viktoria and look forward to publishing her future contributions!
