Diego Aguilar Fachin joins the Editorial board of Biodiversity Data Journal

Diego Aguilar Fachin is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of São Paulo in Ribeirão Preto, Brazil. He just joined the Editorial board of Biodiversity Data Journal as a Subject Editor for the Dipteran families of Austroleptidae, Pantophthalmidae, Stratiomyidae, Xylomyidae, and Xylophagidae. Currently, at the University of São Paulo, Fachin studies the systematics of soldier flies on a global scale, with emphasis on the taxonomy of the genus Hermetia.
"I am enchanted in being part of the Biodiversity Data Journal team. I am very keen to support ongoing efforts to bolster the taxonomic, morphology, systematic, and natural history research that the journal publishes. Journals that accept these super relevant works that describe the biodiversity are getting scarce at present, so it's very important that we preserve such institutions", says Fachin.
