Mostafa Ghafouri Moghaddam is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Integrative Ecology Lab of the Department of Biology at Chulalongkorn University, Thailand.

He joins the Editorial Board of Biodiversity Data Journal as a Subject Editor for Hymenoptera, with a focus on the parasitic wasp family Braconidae.

Mostafa's research revolves around the systematics of the Microgastrinae subfamily. He is particularly interested in developing a phylogenetic hypothesis for the group and exploring the evolution of its host-parasitoid interactions. He is also researching the use of molecular and morphological data to understand the relationships between wasp species.

"I am truly excited to contribute in any way I can to the success and prominence of the Biodiversity Data Journal. It is a critical platform for the proliferation of knowledge about our planet's diverse species and their interaction with their environment. The journal is not just a platform for taxonomic, morphology, systematic, and natural history research, but also a place, which ensures these fields are properly documented and accessible to the public. It is also a way to keep these research fields alive and relevant and to make sure that the knowledge and discoveries made in these areas are not lost to future generations," says Mostafa.
