Pensoft is going to the International Congress of Entomology 2024 in Japan

21 August 2024

Pensoft, an academic publisher specializing in open-access journals and books in the fields of entomology and biodiversity, will participate in the International Congress of Entomology 2024 (ICE2024), scheduled for August 25-30, 2024, in Kyoto, Japan.

The company's founder and CEO, Prof. Lyubomir Penev will be attending the event to represent Pensoft and engage with the global entomological community.

At Stand 25, visitors will have the opportunity to explore Pensoft's collection of open-access entomological journals, such as Biodiversity Data Journal, ZooKeys, and Deutsche Entomologische Zeitschrift, along with an extensive selection of books on insect diversity, systematics, and ecology.

Additionally, attendees can learn about the ARPHA Platform, an advanced publishing tool designed to streamline the workflow for authors, reviewers, and editors.

Pensoft's presence at the congress will also highlight its involvement in several Horizon-funded EU projects focused on pollinator protection. Among these is Safeguard, an initiative dedicated to halting the decline of wild pollinators in Europe, where Pensoft is instrumental in communicating research and setting up the Safeguard Knowledge Exchange Hub (Safe-Hub).

In the PollinERA project, Pensoft leads the communication, dissemination, and exploitation efforts to enhance pollinator protection and mitigate the effects of pesticides.

Furthermore, Pensoft oversees communication and knowledge sharing in the WildPosh project, which aims to assess the risks pesticides pose to wild pollinators and promote sustainable health for pollinators and their ecosystem services in Europe.
