Specialising in mammals, particularly primates and bats, his scientific interests focus on macroecology, conservation, taxonomy, systematics, phylogeny, biogeography, reproductive biology, ecology, biodiversity shortfalls, and pathogen-host interactions.
On joining Biodiversity Data Journal as a subject editor, he said: "Biodiversity is crucial in the biological sciences and ecology, with great importance for scientific advancement and sustainable development. Furthermore, biodiversity data serves as a basis for conservation research and public policy.
"I am honored to be joining the Biodiversity Data Journal team as a subject editor for Mammals. The journal is a benchmark for publishing high-quality studies on biodiversity and natural history. Therefore, I am extremely motivated to support relevant and challenging research areas, as threats to biodiversity grow daily. In this sense, it is crucial that we continue to document biodiversity in all its aspects to mitigate threats and inform conservation strategies."
