Pensoft to exhibit at the IUCN World Conservation Congress 2025 in Abu Dhabi

18 September 2025

Pensoft is pleased to announce its participation as an exhibitor at the IUCN World Conservation Congress 2025, scheduled to take place in Abu Dhabi, UAE, from 9 to 15 October. The global assembly serves as a critical forum for uniting global stakeholders to establish priorities and propel action in conservation and sustainable development.

The Congress functions as the largest global marketplace for conservation and sustainable development science, practice, and policy, drawing together scientists, policy experts, business leaders, and professionals from across the globe to share innovations and research. This year, it will mobilise over 1,400 government, civil society, and Indigenous peoples’ Member organisations of IUCN to vote on pivotal issues.

The 2025 Congress will delve into five critical themes designed to drive the change necessary for a sustainable future: Scaling Up Resilient Conservation Action, Reducing Climate Overshoot Risks, Delivering on Equity, Transitioning to Nature-Positive Economies and Societies, and Disruptive Innovation and Leadership for Conservation.

Pensoft will be an active participant in the Exhibition, which provides a platform for participants to showcase their research, innovations, and work to a diverse audience. From 9 to 13 October, Pensoft’s CEO and founder Prof. Lyubomir Penev, marketing and sales manager Maria Kolesnikova, and illustrator Denitsa Peneva will be at Booth #229 to discuss how Pensoft’s publishing endeavours and participation in projects contribute to advancing scientific understanding and conservation efforts.

The publisher’s exhibit will focus on Pensoft’s extensive restoration and ecology activities, with a significant emphasis on Horizon 2020 projects such as REST-COAST, which deals with the restoration of coastal ecosystems. The company will also showcase its diverse portfolio of open-access scienctific journals, such as Nature Conservation, the innovative One Ecosystem, Estuarine Management and Technologies, NeoBiota, as well as the newly launched Individual-based Ecology.

We cordially invite all Congress participants—scientists, researchers, policymakers, and conservation enthusiasts—to visit Pensoft at Booth #229 in the Exhibition area. We anticipate fostering new partnerships, sharing insights from our diverse portfolio of journals and initiatives, and contributing to the discussion and efforts towards a sustainable future.
