Registration now open for the 35th European Congress of Arachnology

Registration is now open for the 35th European Congress of Arachnology, which will take place in Zadar, Croatia, from August 31st to September 5th, 2025. Organised by the Ruđer Bošković Institute and the University of Zadar under the auspices of The European Society of Arachnology, the conference will take place in a historic university building in the heart of the Old Town.

BDJ authors Martina Pavlek, Dora Hlebec and Tomislav Kos are part of the organising commmittee, while plenary speakers include author and editor Stefano Mammola, author Miquel A. Arnedo and reviewer Mark Harvey with talks on, respectively, subterranean spiders, high-throughput sequencing, and pseudoscorpion phylogeny. The programme also includes excursions to a few of Croatia’s protected areas such as the national parks Krka and Paklenica.

Registration is open until June 20th, with early registration available at discounted rates until May 25th. Various student grants are available to members of the European Society of Arachnology  or Arachnologische Gesellschaft.

Submission of abstracts is open until June 20th.
